Mauro Mazzara picked up a pencil at the age of two… and has not stopped since! Having graduated as an advertising graphic designer, drawing even when he shouldn’t have, he enrolled at the Civica Scuola Arte & Messaggio in Milan.

Having then (finally!) graduated as an illustrator designer, he decided to learn Painting at the Brera Academy. As a painter he has exhibited in personal and collective exhibitions in Italy (Milan, Rome, Florence among others) and abroad (London, Berlin, Zurich, MEAM Barcelona).

For years he has worked as a freelance illustrator for communication, fashion and publishing. His books are published all over the world and, among other recognitions, he is in several Illustrators Annuals. Mauro often draws for sport, his other great passion, which has led him to be a Baskin (inclusive basketball) coach since 2016.

He teaches drawing, illustration and painting at Scuola Internazionale Comics in Milan and NABA, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti. Since 2020 Mauro is the proud father of Anna, who he draws once a month. You can read more about Mauro here https://www.mauromazzara.com/
