Sunshine Reading Road is a new series of hi-lo decodable titles which are focussed on practising and reinforcing older learners’ phonics skills and knowledge. They are appropriate for those who have struggled to achieve phonics and literacy skills in their early years of school, and for reluctant readers – being themes that older students will enjoy. Reading Road is also appropriate for all students who would like to reinforce their existing phonics knowledge with longer books and a larger word count.

Reading Road titles are designed to be appealing to older readers but are written at a phonics level that struggling readers can successfully tackle. There is no predetermined order in which the 10 books in a Reading Road pack must be read, allowing students to pick a book that most appeals to them.
